Whether you are buying a pony from us or from another party,
a few friendly words of advice...

• Take your time. Ponies are like puppies; they are all cute! Make sure that you have a good match in terms of your child’s and the pony’s temperament. A timid rider will be happier with a pony that needs to be "pushed" a little. Save the fancier, quicker ponies for more experienced riders.

• Don’t fall in love with a pretty face. Consider what you want the pony to do. When it comes to ponies, beauty is as beauty does. The pony that will prove most beautiful in the long run is the one your child enjoys riding!

• Use common sense! Don’t buy a green pony for a less experienced rider and hope they will grow into each other. This is a potentially dangerous way to shop and, in most cases, will result in a child who loses interest in riding altogether.

• Consider leasing a pony for a while.  This will allow you to perfectly match your child with the right pony without the hassle of reselling when it is outgrown in size or ability.

• Remember:  for most families, horse showing is only a part-time experience of maybe 8-10 times a year. Select a pony that will be a willing partner for the fun a child wants to have the rest of the time!

• ALWAYS have the pony vetted!

• Request a trial so that you can be sure your child and the pony are compatible.

• GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. We put EVERYTHING in writing, making it easy for you to buy or lease.

We want to ensure that each of our ponies goes to the right child!
